These are posters for some famous horror films and they all share some of the same conventions for advertising their films. They are all dark and have a very moody feel to them, and they also have quite disturbing images on the front. This is to attract an audience and to shock them into going to see the film, intrigued by the picture and curious as to what is going to happen in the film, this is also due to the fact that the title doesn't give much away about the film, a clue, but not a detailed insight into what is going to happen. If the film companies did this then they would not attract their target audience as they would already have an idea what the film's about.This research has given us an insight as to what our poster needs to look like, it needs to look professional and it needs to attract our audience, just like these films have done.
